Abacus - European Stories 2016
8.0
Symphonic Prog Rock
E.L.P is the best title for a review about this album. And if I want to give you another word , I give you TARKUS! there are too many similarities between this album and Tarkus. 80% of album have Tarkus structure and another 20% have "80's Progressive Rock" music structure. Specially Mike Oldfield and Genesis. If you like Emerson's (RIP) key sounding and playing , you MUST listen to this album. 8/10 rate in my opinion.

Condition Red - Illusion of Truth 2016
9.0
Eclectic Neo Prog Rock/Metal
Catchy Album! One of the best of 2016 till now ! Unexpected for me. Before I listen to this album , I search about them and I found their page in P.A as a "Progressive Metal" band.
IMO this album is not Progressive Metal . I can't find even 1 Prog Metal element or ... in their music in this album. I faced to variety of styles that played perfectly in their music. 9/10 rate in my opinion. Good music for many of Prog fans with different tastes . Try it!

Musique Noise - Dans Le Temps Qui S'etire... 2016
9.0
Avant-Garde Technical Prog Rock in Opposition/Jazz
GREAT album. Better than I expected ! and "Unexpected!" for me. Technical musicians , complex jazz parts and Avant-Garde elements are mixed as a Solid album. Strange Atmosphere that created by their Vocalist is very impressive for me. I found a wide range of influences from Giants of these genres! like Zappa, Magma and etc in their music. 9/10 rate In My Opinion.

Mice on Stilts - Hope For A Mourning 2016
9.0
Atmospheric Prog Post Rock
Deep,Emotional and Atmospheric music. You can see talented musicians in this album and feel their emotions clearly. "Local Nature" and "Local Folk Culture" influences are very clear in their music and these make their music unique. This album catch me very hard! from start to end. Using different instruments with sustain and delays , make the great sound for their Lovely music. They know what they want completely and using their talents and personal abilities to make what they want. 9/10 rate IMO. Recommend to Progressive Rock huge fans. Listen and Enjoy !

Preacher - Aftermath 2016
8.0
Neo Prog Rock
Another lovely album from "Pink Floyd" similar band "Preacher". I love their music and they are one of my fav bands in this genre. Floyd's musical elements are very clear in their music and they didn't and don't try to hide it. Preacher is not a clone or copy band, They are a innovative band and they have their own accent in Progressive Rock scene. 8/10 rate IMO. Highly recommend to Floyd fans.

Prog Rock
The second Album of Ex-Pain of Salvation , Kristoff Gildenlow is a very good album IMO. Mellow Emotional Crossover Prog Rock music from one of the best Prog METAL band's member! I never heard even one song like this in Pain of Salvation songs and this make me wonder so much.
His music is very similar to Anathema and Antimatter (post 2000 albums) specially Style of composing and arrangement and style of Vocals (Male and Female vocals). 8/10 rate IMO.

The Syn - Trustworks 2016
7.4
Prog Rock
I can't understand why they suggested in PA's Psych Chart?! Their music is very close to Xover or Prog Related and so far from Psych!!!
IMO I prefer Crossover Prog for them. I found many pretty good Prog Rock elements in their music. Voice and style of their vocal is very similar to Jon Anderson but their music remind me E.L.O and Super Tramp music (IMHO). I had some "Enjoyable" times with their music.

The Shiver - Walpurgis 1969
7.5
Prog Krautrock
Look at the weird art upon the sleeve at first, and keep an ear upon the psychedelic Krautrock prototype next. This stuff can be called as one of psychedelic progressive / Krautrock legends from Switzerland, veiled in a renowned artistic sleeve drawn by H. R. Giger. Basically non-colourful heavy bluesy rock tinged with dark stoner vibes they launched, but some innovative progressive essence can be heard via such a blues rock authenticity. The beginning shot "Repent Walpurgis" is awesome indeed. Exactly dark Kraut-ish flavour filled with deep, heavy exaggerate drumming and guitar voltage drives us of surrealism. Psychedelic watery keyboard sound surface is very atmospheric but at the same time very theatrical. Drenched in Satanic majesty like the sleeve painting, this masterpiece enough explains all of their album world, we can mention. Anyway "Hey Mr. Holy Man" features "Dies Irae" of Gregorian Chant ... I've listened to another Krautrock version of "Dies Irae" by SHANNONDOA, that sounds drier and cooler. "Hey Mr. ... -> show full review

Mindgames - Paradox of Choice 2015
8.1
Symphonic Neo Prog Rock
M!ndgames released their fourth Album after 5 years. The longest distance between their albums from their first album till now. And their second change in their line up happened in this album. The "Important" change in my opinion. Their former guitarist "Rudy Vander Vaken" left the band and replaced by "Sandro Sarita". Now they enter to new era of their career. I (as a fan of them) was very eagered to listen their new album after 5 years and after this important change in their line up. Finally their new Album released : " Paradox of Choice".

Their prev album "MMX" was successful for them and now they search for their "Own Place" in Progressive Rock scene.

Let me preview songs of "Paradox of Choice". Album start with 20sec narration as "Prologue". This show direction of lyrics of album.

" The Whistle-Blower" designed for introducing their new member "Sndro Sarita" as their new guitarist. Sounding of Electric Guitar , semi-improvise solo , Dynamic bass line and keyboard sounding helped to guitar to listened better. You can't find similar song in this album. Note to Keyboard's sounds from Start to End. Using and adding fair Sounds to Prepare good space for Guitar solo.

"The Age of Plenty" is the Longest track of album start with heavy Guitar-Key riff (very similar to SAGA band riffs) and dynamic bass playing with good vocal. Keyboard sounding completely different to Prev song. You can hear Melotrone sound in this song clearly. This song have many of "Epic Song Elements" like : Changing tempo of song in many times, Guitar solo playing in middle of song , Changing music directions and back to start riff of song and ... . I like this "Back to Start" so much (like "The Student Prince" song from Comedy of Error's Disobey album) . BUT they didn't successful to make a "Solid ... -> show full review

T.Phan - Soon 2016
7.9
Prog Rock/Fusion
Normally I don't mention to lyrics. Music and form is more important than lyrics for me but in this album , lyrics catch me from start of album. I like "NEDA" song. This is about a 26 years old girl who killed in street protests. This song is very impressive and emotional.
