Lumsk Norway

"To these ears this is neither folk nor metal, but rather symphonic prog rock, albeit heavy and bordering on metal especially towards the end of the album. An interesting concept as well, the album consists of 6 pairs of songs which are based on old poems that an Norwegian poet (André Bjerke) translated from English and German sources. As a result, the lyrics move from Norwegian to alternatingly English and German (with a heavy accent, since the singer does not speak German).

Overall quite well done, and very tastefully composed. One of the high points of 2023 so far!"
