Om 2006
A Atmospheric Exp Prog Post Black

"I usually don't really like Black Metal - the negativity is not exactly my thing. But in this case I'm more than willing to make an exception, these guys are so open about their music that you really can't call it "Black Metal" anymore. The whole album is very ambient, and the better part of it has "Post Metal" written all over it, with the occasional Folk influence - be prepared to hear trumpets, plucked pizzicato-like guitar parts and the like."

Tracks

1.

"An intro ... pretty much narrative, no music."

2.

"This is like a "Black Metal epic" ... the first half is very "old school", in the second half the structure is torn apart."

3.
A Primul Om 4:22

"The track isn't really metal - it's like a reprise of the previous track, with melodic layers of synths."

4.

"The first highlight of the album ..."

5.
A Inarborat 6:22

"Wonderful - a majestic motif played by trumpets, then old school Black Metal riffing with a twist."

6.
A Dedesuptul 6:39

"More old school Black Metal riffing, with an epic/atmospheric outro."

7.
A Norilor 3:00

"Tribal drumming and synths ... very dramatic."

8.
A De piatra 5:36

"I love the polyphonic guitar melodies here ... one guitar plays a melody, the other oscillates echo-like between notes."

9.

"Cool mixture of Black Metal, dark choirs and epic/atmospheric phases."

10.

"Here flutes are introduced - the most "folky" track on the album."

11.

"An outro ... very atmospheric and dark, no heavy guitars, just gloomy tribal drumming and subdued choirs."
