Section X 2005 by Beyond Twilight I just listened to this again after quite some time (several years) and again it blew me away. If I had to say something negative about the album is that it occasionally gets a little bit cheesy story-wise ... but I don't mind at all. The songwriting is awesome, the musicianship flawless ... as is the production. If you're a fan of complex metal ... wrap your ears around this!
For the Love of Art and the Making 2006 by Beyond Twilight This album is simply amazing... A single composition divided in 43 sections dealing with concepts around the human nature. The music is rooted in the power metal genre, with a progressive structure and the addition of symphonic and classical elements. Each section is a little piece of its own, and the band even says the whole album could be played in a CD player on shuffle mode (but I would not recommend listening to it that way because of the little "transitions" between most of the pieces). |
